Dave’s Weekly Market Update — March 15, 2024

Eggs: Eggs hit bottom this week and are now beginning the Easter rise. Time will tell if the increases will be reasonable or stupid as is normally the case with Urner Barry and the way they control the market! Since there is only 2 weeks until the Easter demand is over I am going to guess a moderate 10-12 cent rise before the market settles down.

Dave’s Weekly Market Update — March 1, 2024

The egg market is crashing with large drops every day. Not a good time to be holding inventory. Easter demand is approaching and might help stabilize the market later next week. Just a guess but we may end up around a $2.00 market by mid next week before it firms up for Easter demand.

Eggs: The egg market continued to drop this week but the market is tightening up. I was told that there were discounted loads being offered up until Tuesday when that stopped. The weather in the central US is tightening things up. I do not expect an increase soon, but the market has stopped decreasing.
