Dave’s Weekly Market Update for 10/24/25
Valuable insights on the latest market price changes for eggs, butter, cheese, and cream products.
Eggs:
The egg market is beginning to rise as demand from the processors is picking up. I am not sure if the pace will pick up and how much it will rise. I am starting to see increases on the further processed items from Newburg as they work on a weekly market. Michael Foods will not go up now except for same cage free egg patty items.
Butter:
We dropped butter again this week, but it seems like we might be at the bottom. 51 loads changed hands this week. Some of the sales were above the closing price and the 2 offers were higher. Tomorrow and early next week will hopefully show us some direction and give us an idea if we finally have reached the bottom.
Cheese:
The Block market retreated some this week, and I expect lower prices next week. I did not think it could remain at last week’s levels due to an abundant milk supply with high fat levels and lackluster demand.
Cream Cheese:
We lowered prices again this week and if butter firms up, this may be the bottom of that market also.
