Good afternoon to all!
Eggs:
The egg market continued to correct itself. Last week we went down way below the market in forecast of the declines. We had gone up extra prior and wanted to be fair to all of you. We are back on track for next week. The cage free eggs continue to be in short supply as we just can’t get enough. Michale Foods has also been having delivery issues and causing supply issues. Hopefully this is behind us shortly and we can serve you better.
Butter:
Butter trended lower Tuesday and stayed there. I still feel we will see high prices until later in this quarter. Really hard to guess in these times. Supplies are still very tight all around.
Cheese:
Blocks trended upwards and Barrels trended lower in trading this week. There is still a large inverse spread in the markets. With overall demand slowing on cheese in retail and food service I expect some downward pressure in coming weeks. Hilldale by Land O Lakes is still being cut as they try to build some inventory and we are doing our best to allocate accordingly.
Cream Cheese:
Cream cheese is in good supply for the upcoming baking season. Please ask your sales rep for all of the options we have to offer.
Cream:
The supply of cream is still a mess. The supply is just not there, and most producers are struggling to fill orders. I have never seen it this bad. On another note, due to butter pricing in the past month we can expect another increase for November.
We all thank you for your continued business and hope you have an awesome weekend!
