Happy Thursday!
Eggs:
Eggs continue to rise as the A1 bird Flu has depleted many flocks. It seems like we may be near the top of the market. Cage free eggs are becoming an issue as suppliers can not keep up with the demand. We are having a hard time fulfilling all the opportunities presented to us.
Butter:
Butter has been bouncing around and we will have no change from last week. My guess is that it will rise a bit tomorrow but stay in this range for the near future. There are talks of there being record high prices in the 4th quarter of this year. Time shall tell on that.
Cheese:
Both Block and Barrel bounced around this week. Blocks will drop .02 and Barrels will remain the same as they gained strength as the week went on. From what I am hearing I do not believe prices will drop much at all for quite a while. There are so many supply chain issues affecting everyone in all facets of business. More and more cheese manufacturers are raising premiums just to stay afloat.
Honor Foods is proud to welcome Lactalis Foodservice into our portfolio of products. We will have products in house to start shipping as of Tuesday 5/10. Please ask your sales associate about this exciting addition to our product mix. It is our intention to bring in more items in this line ASAP.
We all wish you a safe and relaxing weekend and as always, we thank you for your business!
