Dave’s Weekly Market Update for 07/10/25
Valuable insights on the latest market price changes for eggs, butter, cheese, and cream products.
Eggs:
The larger sizes of eggs have been rising, and the pace is picking up. Mediums on the other hand are dropping aggressively. My guess is that as farmers have been repopulating their farms after all the HPAI loses that younger birds produce medium eggs at first. We will be lowering Newberg further processed eggs as that market is still moving downwards.
Butter:
Butter has bounced around thus far ending up .01 higher for the week. I still feel that we will see strength as it has been so hot and humid. This produces cow discomfort and causes them to produce less milk and a lower fat content.
Cheese:
Blocks traded in a fairly tight range this week and we did lower our prices this week. I will stop including Barrel in my report as nothing we buy is priced off that market anymore. Much American cheese is now priced off the blended market which is as seen below.
Butter market x.07 added to the Block market x.93. This is the formula that is now used by all of our producers. Then the overages are added to that to come up with the cost.
