Eggs:
The egg market continues to plummet. The market was so high that retail just did not promote eggs for the holiday and there is a glut of eggs. We will see more declines next week. Finally, a break for breakfast restaurants!

Butter:
As expected, butter keeps bouncing around and staying within a small price range. More of the same to come.
Cheese:
The Barrel market continues to plummet with over 2 million lbs trading hands so far this week. There were a lot of bids today and not many offers as you can see below. Blocks remained fairly stable and you can see people were trying to buy it at much lower levels, but the sellers just were not there. The spread of .245 lb is too high. I feel that the block needs to come down to narrow this spread, but we will have to wait and see.

H.P. Hood – Hood has closed their distribution facility in Philly and we are building up on the items we stock from them. We are stocking Axelrod Butter milk packed 12/1 qt as well as UHT whole milk packed 6 half gallons per case. We have had a few requests for 6/32 oz whole milk yogurt and I am wondering if there is more interest in this.I would like to stock the item if there is interest. Please let us know about this and other Hood items you are interested in.
