Dave’s Weekly Market Update – October 7,2021

Good afternoon,

Eggs:
Markets are adjusting downwards as inventories build. I do not believe we will see much more in the way of decreases but we can never be sure.

Butter:

The butter market has also shown signs of weakness this week. The world market is in a position not experienced in a long time, but the world market is in a different place than it has ever been.
Cheese:
The rapid increase in the Barrell market has closed the spread to .02 which used to be about the norm. At the CME, not many loads changed hands this week. These levels are likely to continue through the next week or so.
Cream:
Things are looking better now with cream. Along with our Golden Sunshine product, we have started shipping Byrne UHT. The fill rate on this line seems to be approaching normal with the addition of these products.
We at Honor Foods want to thank you for your continued business. Please remember to check with your Honor Salesperson if other vendors are shorting you on certain lines. Although we face supply challenges, we may also have what others are lacking.
Have a safe and relaxing Fall weekend.
