Dave’s Weekly Market Update – February 2, 2021

Happy Thursday to all,

Eggs:
The egg market seems to be fairly balanced this week. Yet, I believe we will soon see a downturn in this market. There’s a good supply for retail, and foodservice demand has been quiet. There has been more demand for nest run eggs (which are used by breakers) as well as demand from Canada. If both of these dry up, then the market will retreat.

Butter:
The Butter market has been very aggressive and futures are pointing to higher prices in the coming months. The market is up .17 since we set prices last Thursday!

Cheese:
Both Block and Barrel have drifted downwards this week. No drastic moves but it certainly has bounced all around as of late.

All of us at Honor Foods thank you for your continued business and wish you a safe and relaxing winter weekend.
