Dave’s Weekly Market Update – December 17, 2020

Happy snow day!

We hope you all fared well with today’s snowstorm. We got a foot in Springfield and delayed our deliveries until tomorrow to keep everyone safe.

Eggs:
The egg market dropped .01 last Friday and has not moved since. The brown eggs are in short supply and have been rising.

Butter:
Butter has been drifting lower after the rally it had up until the middle of last week. I feel we may see more declines unless the Farms to Families food Box program starts up again.

Cheese:
Both Block and Barrel rose slightly this week. Speculation of the Food Box program is probably the driving force behind that.  If they announce another round we will have a rally in the markets.

We all hope you have a safe and relaxing weekend as we all prepare for the Christmas holiday.
Thank you as always!
